DTF Transfers
Everything about our Direct to Film transfer process, pricing, and application.
DTF (Direct to Film) transfers are full-colour heat-applied transfers printed onto a special film and finished with a hot-melt adhesive powder. They can be applied to virtually any fabric using a heat press — cotton, polyester, blends, and more — with no weeding or masking required.
A gang sheet is a large sheet of film with multiple designs arranged together to maximize coverage and minimize waste. Instead of ordering individual transfers one at a time, you fill a sheet with as many designs as you need in whatever sizes work for you.
Our standard gang sheet width is 22 inches. Length is flexible — you pay by the square foot.
You can build a gang sheet online using our gang sheet builder, upload a ready-to-print file, or contact us directly with your artwork and requirements. We'll confirm your order and get it into production.
PNG files with a transparent background at 300 DPI are ideal. We print exactly what we receive so please check spelling, image quality, and placement before submitting. We do not accept files with trademarked logos or licensed artwork.
Yes. Our printer uses a full CMYK plus white ink system, which means we can print vibrant transfers on dark fabrics.
Set your heat press to 300–320°F (150–160°C), press for 10–15 seconds at medium-firm pressure, then cold peel. Follow with a second press of 5–10 seconds using a Teflon sheet or parchment paper for best adhesion and finish.
When applied correctly, DTF transfers are very durable and wash well. Turn garments inside out, wash cold, and avoid high-heat drying to maximize longevity.
Our standard retail rate is $4.50 per square foot. Volume discounts are available — use our online price calculator for an instant quote.
No minimum on gang sheet size. Order exactly what you need.
Custom Apparel
Questions about our garment decoration services and printing methods.
We offer DTG (Direct to Garment), DTF (Direct to Film heat transfers), HTV (Heat Transfer Vinyl), and sublimation. The best method depends on your garment, design, and quantity — contact us if you're unsure which is right for your job.
DTG prints directly onto the fabric of the garment using specialized inkjet technology, similar to printing on paper. It's ideal for detailed full-colour designs on cotton or cotton-blend garments, especially at lower quantities.
Yes. We accept customer-supplied garments for decoration. Garments must be clean, unworn, and free of defects. We recommend providing a few extras in case of misprints, though we take every precaution to minimize errors.
We can print as few as one garment. There is no minimum. Small runs may have a higher per-unit cost than larger orders.
We do our best to match colours accurately but DTG and DTF printing uses CMYK ink systems, not Pantone. Screens display colours in RGB which can differ from the printed result. If exact colour matching is critical, please let us know and we can discuss options.
Basic file preparation and layout optimization is included at no charge. For full custom design work, reach out and we can discuss your needs and provide a quote.
Artwork
File requirements, formats, and artwork guidelines.
For best results, submit vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) or high-resolution raster files (PNG, PSD) at 300 DPI at the final print size. JPG files are accepted but PNG with a transparent background is strongly preferred for DTF transfers.
We can attempt to upscale low-resolution files but results vary. For best print quality, always start with the highest resolution file available. If your file is too low quality to print well, we'll let you know before production.
Yes. Once you've ordered with us, we store your artwork for easy reordering. Just reference your previous order and let us know what you need.
No. We do not print trademarked logos, licensed characters, or copyrighted artwork without proof of authorization. This includes sports team logos, brand logos, Disney, Marvel, and similar IP. We reserve the right to refuse any order we believe infringes on intellectual property rights.
Neon and fluorescent colours are outside the CMYK colour gamut and cannot be reproduced exactly. We recommend adjusting these colours before submitting your file. We'll print as close as possible but exact matches are not guaranteed.
Ordering & Turnaround
How to place orders, production times, and what to expect.
Standard turnaround is 2–4 business days for most orders. Larger or more complex jobs may take longer. If you have a deadline, let us know when ordering and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Changes can be made before production begins. Once your order is in production, changes may not be possible. Please review your artwork and order details carefully before approving. We have a pre-production lock policy — once you approve, we print.
Contact us to discuss rush availability. Rush jobs are accommodated based on current production capacity and may incur an additional fee.
You'll receive an email notification when your order is complete and ready for pickup or when it has shipped.
